Welcome to the AboutNewJersey.com New Jersey travel and tourism guide. For both the tourist and the fellow New Jerseyan AboutNewJersey.com shows you that there is more to New Jersey tourism than just the Jersey Shore.
There are an incredible amount of activities and attractions to enjoy in New Jersey, from the mountains of the northwest to the white sandy beaches of the Jersey Shore and don't forget the everything in between part!
Take time to discover the lesser known things that make New Jersey great, such as learning the history of America while climbing the steps of the Statue of Liberty or exploring the laboratory of Thomas Edison where he invented the light bulb, motion pictures, the phonograph and so much more. Walk in the footsteps of Washington and his army from the Hancock House in Salem County, to the famous crossing of the Delaware and his subsequent victories of Trenton and Princeton. Explore our world class museums such as the Newark Museum which houses the largest Tibetan Art collection in the world outside of Tibet, or the Zimmerli Museum in New Brunswick which is home to the largest dissident Soviet Art collection in the world.
Whether it's the outdoors, canoeing and hiking or the gambling glitz of Atlantic City, the history, the restaurants or the great seafood, amusements and beach of the Jersey Shore, you are sure to find plenty in New Jersey for the whole family to enjoy.
The Jersey Shore may be 127 miles long, but New Jersey is a TOTAL of 8,125 square miles of jam packed fun! So get off the beaten path and come and explore ALL of New Jersey!
